Evaluate the Impact of Your Playful Learning Landscape

Playful Learning Landscapes uses an evidence-based design formula to evaluate projects. Dozens of studies have demonstrated that the Playful Learning Landscapes approach positively impacts children, families, and communities.

If you are interested in evaluating the impact of your project, consider the following strategies:

University-led Research Evaluation

Research projects led by universities are robust evaluations of Playful Learning Landscapes projects. They produce scientific data on the impact of the project and this sometimes results in an article that can be published in an academic journal.

Community-centered Evaluation

This type of evaluation can be designed by the community, and community members can collect and interpret data for themselves. Depending on the type of evaluation methodology, this might produce numerical data, anecdotes, and observations that can be used for websites and for fundraising purposes. Use the Playful Learning Landscapes Community Evaluation Toolkit to help with this strategy!

Informal Feedback

Projects may also choose to solicit informal feedback from the community about the impact of a particular project. This usually produces anecdotes, impact stories, and testimonials that can be used on websites and for fundraising purposes.
