PopUpPlay and PLL – Movies on the Block & Playfest 2019
PopUpPlay builds connections between families, fosters creativity, and inspires innovation. Some examples of this approach include giant cardboard builds, catapult building, and superhero training. These learning activities provide opportunities and experiences in which children and families can design, create, and build all while playing together. PopUpPlay and Playful Learning Landscapes bring engaging and playful learning activities to communities. Together we transform everyday environments and design powerful learning experiences for families to play together. In 2019, PopUpPlay and Playful Learning Landscapes partnered to bring playful learning to the Belmont Alliance Civic Association’s Annual Movies on the Block event and PopUpPlay’s 2nd Annual Play Fest on Philadelphia’s Cherry Street Pier where our low-cost activities organically prompted the kinds of interactions that help build strong relationships between caregivers and children, while addressing children’s skill development.
