Come Aboard the Reading Promise, a new campaign led by Mighty Engine and supported by a variety of organizations, including Playful Learning Landscapes Action Network,  and Read by 4th, has been unveiled all over the city of Philadelphia. The campaign’s goal is to engage children all across the city in playful learning activities. Signage can now be found in a variety of spots around the city, from subway stations to bus shelters and will remain up through July.

A grand opening celebration was held on Wednesday, April 6th at the Tasker-Morris subway station in South Philly. Attended by city officials and neighborhood kids alike, the kick off was a resounding success! Attendees were able to get up close and personal with the signage lining the tiled subway walls, hear live music, and interact with kiosks that dispense stories from local Philadelphians.

Playful Learning Landscapes Action Network is proud to be a partner on this project that will provide early literacy support to children around Philadelphia.
